OUR PHILOSOPHY

THE FOUR PILLARS OF WELLNESS

Inner Peace

Inner peace is the foundation of healing. We support practices that restore calm, regulation, and spiritual grounding through breathwork, meditation, reflection, and ceremonial space. When individuals experience inner peace, families and communities are better able to thrive.

Nourishment

Nourishment is physical, emotional, spiritual, and communal. We honor nourishment as an act of care and sovereignty, supporting mothers and families through birth preparation, postpartum healing, and embodied wellness practices that sustain vitality across the lifespan.

Healthy Relationships

Healing happens in relationship—to self, family, community, land, and spirit. We create spaces for reconnection and repair through circles, retreats, gatherings, and shared learning that strengthen relational bonds across generations.

Purpose

Purpose is remembering who we are and how we belong. We support individuals and communities in reconnecting with their gifts, callings, and responsibilities to future generations—strengthening long-term wellness and continuity.

COMMUNITY-BASED HEALING & WELLNESS

At the heart of Native Women’s Wellness Movement is community-based healing rooted in Indigenous teachings and expressed through accessible, embodied practices.

Our offerings include:

  • Meditation and breathwork grounded in Indigenous and earth-based frameworks

  • Birth preparation and postpartum healing for mothers and families

  • Women’s circles, talking circles, retreats, and ceremonial gatherings

  • Workshops, events, and knowledge exchange led by Indigenous practitioners and culture-bearers

These spaces are designed for rest, reflection, learning, and reconnection—honoring the wisdom already present within our communities.

CAPACITY BUILDING & PROGRAM SUPPORT

In addition to direct healing work, Native Women’s Wellness Movement supports sustainable, culturally responsive programs serving Indigenous families.

Through a public health and philanthropic lens, we provide:

  • Technical and training assistance for programs serving youth and families

  • Support for Indigenous-led creative, wellness, and community initiatives

  • Program evaluation and data collection to strengthen services and guide intentional, community-informed programming

This work ensures that healing is supported not only individually, but structurally.
